A friend emailed us and asked how to discuss  intelligently with people who think of themselves as pro-choice, but who seem to clearly avow that they don’t believe the unborn baby is a life, so they think abortion is entirely a matter of the mother’s choice. The only choice they typically see, is ending the pregnancy of the “non-life.”

This became a one-liner argument: If you don’t think it’s a life, then why do you need to kill it.

We mulled that over. We have never heard a simpler or more intelligent way to communicate our position. We shortened it, for the sake of hitting the driver behind you with a clear, rational question:

WHY KILL IT?

After many requests from our pro-life friends, we decided to make this bumper sticker available, so you, too, can avoid lengthy, emotional arguments, and simply post your one-sentence statement for the viewer to consider.

We just want to get the dialogue back to basics. We believe an unborn baby is a life. We believe that baby has rights. We want to champion those rights. Of course, we know there are cases that are not so simple: a mother’s life is in danger, for instance. But, that decision is a medical one, not a denial of life. It is still about life.
